PRACTICAL-EFFECTS HEART.
GENERATIVE BRAIN.
Dr. Dreams is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker, VFX artist, and video editor crafting cinematic worlds that blend 1980s practical-effects nostalgia with cutting-edge generative tools.
He directed an award-winning indie feature produced by Wayfarer Studios, starring Danny Trejo, along with many music videos and commercials.
He also hosts the Slop & Glory podcast and is building a feature horror production company with his wife.
YOUR PRODUCT.
OUR MONSTERS.
I make short, character-driven films for consumer brands — the kind of spot that ran between Saturday morning cartoons, made now.
Before this I directed an award-winning indie feature for Wayfarer Studios starring Danny Trejo, and cut commercials for Wet n Wild, Physicians Formula and Lip Smacker. Twenty years of knowing what actually holds an audience.
The generative tools are how it gets built — not what it is. That's why these cut like films instead of looking like a reel of clips, and why a spot that used to cost six figures doesn't have to.
